Also, Ring*Con is nearing. The Japanese reexamination is on October 11th, with the Con taking place from October 7th to 9th, so, fun. Have to finish my costume, this time, as ladyelleth kind of talked me into being Fëanor this time. This is so not going to work, but it's an excuse to see what I look like with black hair, I suppose.

... also, ladyelleth, this is what it looks like. After 10 hours of embroidering. Which I was, obviously, not born to do.

I like it. :) You apparently don't, but there is still the window color option - if you don't want to mess around with that, I'd even be willing to make that emblem for you, and send it via mail. :)
After all, I am kind of responsible for your choice of costume.

I'm not happy with the assymetrical lines. It should be a perfect square. Ngah. But I suppose I'll use it, at least it looks, you know, handmade (well, duh)... We'll just stick to the 'one of the kids made it in needlework class and he's wearing it for them' version of the story, I guess. ;)

I still think it looks nice... und die Asymmetrie ist mir zuerst gar nicht aufgefallen, erst nachdem du es erwähnt hast. Aber die Idee mit der needlework class gefällt mir - die Jungs mussten wohl ne ganze Menge sticken, das Nerdanel-Kleid sieht auch mittlerweile so aus, als ob ein kleines Kind das gemacht hätte. Es hat wohl keiner von den Sieben allzu viel von Miriel geerbt. :p
