Lesson of the day: If I want a lot of comments, I should either rant, angst, lingo-babble or write about religion. Or any combination of the former.

Today at work there was a dish with pasta, asparagus and lime sauce. Or so the menu said.
The pasta was just barely recognisable. The rest tasted - just like a McChicken.

I never liked the McChicken because as far as I am concerned it tastes mostly of nothing. But apparently it tastes of asparagus with lime sauce on pasta. Or does asparagus with lime sauce on pasta taste like McChicken?

Or perhaps either tastes like protein with monosodium glutamate and a hint of chlorophyll. >_>

Lektion des Tages: Wenn ich mal wieder kommentarhungrig bin, sollte ich entweder rumwüten, rumangsten, rumlingustieren oder irgendwas Religöses erwähnen. Oder jedwede Kombination, die sich daraus ergeben kann.

Bei der Arbeit gab es heute zu Mittag eine Nudel-Spargel-Pfanne mit Limonensauce. Sagte die Speisekarte.
Die Nudeln waren ja noch so gerade als solche erkennbar. Aber der Rest schmeckte - nach McChicken.

Der McChicken hat mich nie begeistert, weil er meiner maßgeblichen Meinung nach ziemlich fad schmeckt. Aber offenbar schmeckt er nur wie Spargel mit Limonensauce auf Nudeln. Oder schmeckt Spargel mit Limonensauce auf Nudeln wie Hühnchen?

Oder vielleicht schmeckt auch das eine wie das andere nach Proteinen mit Mononatriumglutamat und einer Spur Chlorophyll. >_>

Speaking of language, maybe you can solve a conundrum. ;) Why do Germans capitalize nouns?

Custom, I think. Originally they capitalised just names and important words for stress. And, of course, religious stuff. Then they just went on till it spread to all nouns. More or less. ;)
