Mizu no kokoro

A spirit like water. A phrase that I always assumed to mean "a spirit like the calm surface of a lake mirroring everything and moving in small ripples". Not "a spirit like the wave that swallowed Númenor", thank you very much.

I don't even want to think about the Iraqi wedding they bombed today. Fuck. Imagine you're getting married and people are being happy and celebrating and shoot salute, and next thing you know you're bombed. Right, maybe shooting salute isn't the smartest thing to do in Iraq right now, what with everyone being rather touchy. But honestly, couldn't they at least have checked what the hell they're bombing?
But the bride is going to take revenge. With a katana. Kill George. In theatres soon.

Cannot cope. Off to Valinor.
If only I could.

Sad, but fitting. Yah, I know it's evil.

Kill George. Demnächst in ihrem Kino.

Komm nicht klar. Ab nach Valinor.
Wenn's denn nur ginge.

Traurig, aber passend. Yah, ich weiß, es ist böse.

World Domination Tour

What is so sad is that so many Americans are soooo against all of this. I hate how my country is being viewed by others. :( But if I were in another country, I'd probably feel the same way. *sigh*

well, you can help us vote the bastard out of office in November. That's honestly the best voice we have right now, and while I have always been cynical about the 'every vote counts' business, if there's even a PERCENT of a chance that my vote will go anywhere towards getting this insane moron out of office, I'm going to do it.

I understand this, in a way (though, of course, considering the not-so-distant not-so-glorious history of my country, I shouldn't speak anything...)
I know many US-Americans are against this. I know there are many nice and intelligent and peace-loving Americans. I suppose I have to apologize to those for generalizing. So: Sorry.
But you know, when I watch the news, I'm too sick and tired to draw distinctions. Sorry again.
