Happy New Year!

olorielAs its last official act of 2004, my computer decided to stop working. It's either the mainboard or the processor, either way, this sucks.
Luckily, Jörg's computer is still working, so it's from here that I wish you all the best for 2005. May the best of the last year be the worst of this new year!
We celebrated New Year's eve in Cologne with the WG and lots of friends and friends of friends. Come midnight, we went up on the roof to watch the fireworks above the city. It was quite spectacular, albeit smaller than last year (I guess some people have donated their fireworks budget to help organisations for South Asia.) We had quite some fun, though I was terribly tired before we even started and a spark from the fireworks landed right behind my ear, which was rather painful, but it seems to be healed over by now so it can't have been much.
In our street, some boys are still setting off fireworks.
Again, have a good New Year!

Als letzten offiziellen Akt des Jahres 2004 hat mein Computer gestern Abend den Geist aufgegeben. Entweder ist es das Mainboard oder der Prozessor, so oder so ist es scheiße.
Zum Glück hat Jörg ja einen funktionierenden Computer, und von dort aus wünsche ich euch allen das Allerbeste für 2005. Mögen die besten Dinge des alten Jahres die schlechtesten des neuen Jahres sein!
Wir haben Silvester in Köln bei der WG und mit diversen Freunden und Freundesfreunden gefeiert. Mitternacht sind wir dann zusammen aufs Dach gestiegen, um uns das Feuerwerk über der Stadt anzuschauen. Das war schon beeindruckend, wenn auch kleiner als im letzten Jahr (ich nehme an, ein paar Leute haben sich an der "Reis statt Böller"-Aktion beteiligt). Es war ziemlich lustig, obwohl ich schon vor Beginn der Party furchtbar müde war und ein Funke vom Feuerwerk hinter meinem Ohr gelandet ist, was ziemlich wehtat, aber es scheint schon wieder verheilt zu sein, also kann's so schlimm nicht gewesen sein.
In unsrer Straße zünden ein paar Jungs immer noch Raketen.
Nochmal, ein frohes Neues Jahr!
Oh, und was Süßes, geklaut vonfileg (ich übersetz es sogar!):
Endlich mal ein Vorsatz für's neue Jahr, den ich halten kann. *g*

Sorry about your computer. Take it outside and threaten it, and move it a few inches closer to the trash every day until it gets the hint.
