They've been preparing for the Pentecost market in the museum. The stalls looked like an exhibition rather than like a market, with all sorts of beautiful, weird and interesting stuff from all sorts of countries. They even had a carpet with a pattern that looked vaguely Númenorean. And a jacket that was utterly beautiful, black with silver embroidery, a strange but cool cut, and just my size. I swear, if I had the money...
But stuff I have seen for 80 Rands two months ago costs 80 € there. I suppose the same goes for the rest of their stuff. So I suppose I can forget that. Too bad.
Speaking of Pentecost, what is the difference between Pentecost and Whitsun?
Registering for exams is almost scarier than the exam itself, at least at the time when the exam is far away. The process of deciding to do it ("Do I really want to do this?" [Not really], "Am I ready for this?" [Hell no], "Do I even have a chance?" [Unlikely], "Is this a good idea?" [Nope], "OK, I'll do it." Sounds very Corellian.) is gruesome, the standing in line for an hour grinds you down some more, then they don't find your record card and you just want to run away and then they find it. "All right, you are now registered. Good luck." Ahahah, yes. フォースのともにあらんことを。
I only registered for Japanese, not for Anthro. That's sort of bad because one of the professors I need for the exam might be gone next semester and because I finally want to finish my undergraduate studies, However, I'd never pass two exams at once anyway. So I suppose I'll tackle one now and one later and maybe pass both instead of tackling both now, failing both now, and then having to take them again next semester.

2) Schickt mir ein, zwei Lieder [oder mehr], von denen ihr meint, dass ich sie unbedingt hören sollte.
3) Musikgeschmack: Och, ich probiere eigentlich alles mal aus, außer Schlager, R&B und Techno, das ist nicht so mein Ding. Aber wenn ihr einen Grund habt, anzunehmen, dass ich trotzdem etwas mögen könnte, obwohl es in eine dieser Kategorien fällt... Ansonsten? Hm. Verrückte Fremdsprachen. Oder auch nur verrückt. Filk. Chöre. Soundtracks. Allgemeines orchestrales Zeugs. Taikos.
Ach, tobt euch einfach aus.
Im Museum haben sie heute den Pfingstmarkt vorbereitet. Das sieht mehr wie eine Ausstellung aus als wie ein Markt, mit allen möglichen schönen, merkwürdigen und interessanten Sachen aus aller Herren Länder. Es war sogar ein Teppich mit einem geradezu númenorischen Muster dabei. Und eine total geniale Jacke, schwarz mit silberner Stickerei, merkwürdig, aber toll geschnitten, und auch noch genau meine Größe. Ich schwör's, wenn ich das Geld hätte...
Aber da haben Dinge, die ich vor zwei Monaten für 80 Rand gesehen habe, 80 € gekostet. Das gilt vermutlich auch für alles Andere. Also kann ich das wohl vergessen. Wirklich schade.
Das Anmelden für eine Prüfung ist fast gruseliger als die Prüfung als solche, zumindest, wenn bis zur Prüfung noch über zwei Monate Zeit sind. Der Entscheidungsprozess ("Will ich das wirklich?" [Nicht wirklich], "Bin ich bereit dafür?" [Nein, verdammt], "Habe ich überhaupt eine Chance?" [Eher nicht], "Ist das eine gute Idee?" [Nö], "OK, auf gehts!" Sehr corellianisch.) ist anstrengend, dann steht man 'ne Stunde in der Schlange und wird immer unruhiger, dann finden sie die Karteikarte nicht und man will noch schnell wegrennen und dann finden sie sie doch. "Gut, Sie sind jetzt angemeldet. Viel Glück!" Ahaha, genau. フォースのともにあらんことを。
Aber ich habe mich nur für Japanisch angemeldet, nicht für Ethno. Das ist zwar doof, weil eine der Dozentinnen, bei denen ich geprüft werden muss, vielleicht im nächsten Semester nicht mehr da ist und weil ich eigentlich mein Grundstudium mal endlich beenden wollte. Aber zwei Prüfungen auf einmal schaffe ich im Leben nicht. Ergo widme ich mich jetzt der einen und mache die andere nächstes Semester und schaffe so dann hoffentlich beide, anstatt jetzt beide zu probieren, bei beiden durchzufallen und dann im nächsten Semester wieder bei beiden ranzumüssen.
