duia on Maedhros: I'm so emo I'd cut my wrist IF I HAD A HAND WITH WHICH TO DO SO
(From a discussion between
coppertone and
duia. Go read the whole thing. It's precious.)

Also, Lookie, it's Sauron! Hi, Sauron! *waveth*

And it's Canada Day! And I'm not in Canada. That sucks. Hope the Canadians (and honorary Canadians ;)) among you have fun celebrating, anyway.
I'm not a lumberjack or a fur trader.
And I don't live in an igloo or eat blubber or own a dog sled.
And I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzie from Canada, even though I am certain they are really, really nice.
I have a Prime Minister, not a President; I speak English and French, not American; and I pronounce it 'about', not 'a boot'.
I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack; I believe in peacekeeping, not policing; diversity, not assimilation; and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal.
A toque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch, and it is pronounced 'zed'. Not 'zee', 'zed'.
Canada is the second-largest land mass, the first nation of hockey and the best part of North America.
My name is Joe, and I am Canadian.
Didya know that Canadians burned down the White House? In 1814. During the "War of 1812". Go figure.

Finally, a British MP has declared himself to be a Jedi. That's it. I'm moving to Britain. (found via slashdot.org)

The Kanji are eating my brain. Did anyone notice?

Und schaut mal, es ist Sauron! Hi, Sauron! *wink*

Außerdem ist heute Kanada-Tag! Und ich bin nicht in Kanada. Verdammt. Aber ich hoffe, dass die Kanadier auf meiner Friendlist trotzdem schön feiern.
*kanadische Bierwerbung zitier*
Wusstet ihr, dass die Kanadier mal das Weiße Haus abgebrannt haben? 1814. Während des "Krieges von 1812". Äh. Naja, vielleicht gingen ihre Kalender nach.

Zu guter Letzt, ein britisches Parlamentsmitglied hat sich als Jedi geoutet. Okay, das reicht. Ich ziehe nach England. (gefunden slashdot.org)

Die Kanji fressen mein Hirn auf. Schon gemerkt?
