--- and to cheer us all up a bit, I'll share with you this gem from the Creative Writing seminar.

Sooo, as a little warm-up task we had to write a name and an adjective on one sheet of paper, a domestic sphere and an interesting occupation on another, and an object on a third. Then you hand the first sheet to your left-hand neighbour, the second to your right-hand neighbour, and the third you keep. (I wrote Primavera Murdoch* and snarky; linen closet and dream hunter; and left-handed scissors. In turn, I got Phelina Sole and philosophical, and flower pot (WTF?) and cloud watcher.)
Now you have three sheets of paper with nice little prompts, and NOW you have to write a poem of four lines about what [name] the [adjective] [occupation] is doing with the [object] in the [domestic sphere].

The guy sitting right in front of me (and next to my brother, who now shares a seminar with me O_o) wrote this:

The chunky pretty stewardess,
Ruben Casreban by name,
Is sitting on the toilet seat,
Her fishing rod aflame.

... well, I found it funny.

The "winner" of the day was this:

Calm Desirée Water was
outside the lounge,
window-washing,
looking for the coat.

The faily result of my prompts was this:

Sunny days are bad for
Phelina Sole, 27, philosophical cloud watcher.
All that's left is descending into the flower pot
To trim roots with her left-handed scissors.

Don't ask.

*Coincidentally, that'll be the name of one of my NaNovel characters.
