Let the Blues Begin
Nov. 12th, 2006 11:24 pmHerzlichen Glückwunsch nachträglich,
zorn!
Sorry to have missed it. Last year it hit
kaneda, this year it was you, let's see whose birthday the next Ring*Con will fall on...
Well, I'm back. Also tired. It was wonderful, too short, and I'll try to explain about Beowulf the Balrog, the Thai restaurant at the end of the hobbit hole, free dance for 2 trees and 1 spider, helleheafocs and other animals, the disadvantages of wearing armour, Gandalf vs. Saruman: Lightsabre Death Match, Günni's Fall and the March of the Ducks, and how to colour Olwë floored once I have bathed, unpacked, slept, worked, studied, got the photos and caught up on my NaNovel. In other words, a more or less coherent report will follow sometime later this week!
On the station at Solingen, I encountered a young woman with a load of luggage, a black bag with a red stylized veiled face, and a bow and arrow. Contrary to my usual habits I immediately went "Whee, I'm not the only one here who was at Ring*Con?" which led to a nice brief conversation before we dragged our luggage on to our respective means of getting home.
While I was gone, the kittens destroyed my flip-flops. R.I.P.
EDIT: Goodness, it was
erestor's birthday too? And I missed it! And didn't realize until today! Which is a shame because we only got to Ring*Con because of
erestor in the first place. So, apologies, and a happy belated birthday to you!
