Soooo.

Firstly:
It's mid-November, and as I'm a terribly slow card-writer, I guess it's a good idea to jump onto the bandwagon and collect addresses now. Sooooo.
Whosoever wants a Christmas/Yule/Solstice/Hannukah/Festivus/Holiday of Choice card from me this December should sign up now! If I sent you a card last year (or sometime this year) and your address didn't change, I still have it. If you moved someplace else or if you aren't sure whether I have your address or if you know for sure I don't have your address: Comments are screened, so you can leave you addy in a reply. Alternatively, you can e-mail me at lyraforeniel at hotmail dot com, too, if you don't trust screened comments.
As I'm kind of writing Christmas cards as a default, anyone who wants something else should please specify so I don't write the wrong kind of card ;)

- Comments with no personal data in them will be unscreened.

Secondly:
Here you can find a lot of fotos of the Ring*Con closing ceremony, including the Middle-earth choir and yours truly as a horribly bad Beomaedhroswulf, the Beobalrogwulf, Craig Parker and Mark Ferguson as The Dragon, and an awesome Grendel. And loads of other cool stuff like Shane Rangi's haka, Sean Astin with his kids, and a very impressed Miranda Otto. I guess it's not quite so interesting for people who weren't there, but still.

You are very cute. Though I have to say that my husband was more fascinated with the Balrog.

Miranda Otto is really very sweet, and the Astin kids make me melt into a puddle of stuff that is not at all good for your teeth.

Enednoviel already linked me to the winners of the costume contest: dressing up as Minas Tirith, how cool is that? ;-))

Sounds - looks - awesome. I'm glad you had a good time.

Uh... I don't dare ask for a postcard - as I am so very, very bad at writing them. BUT I am already planning a multimedia advent calendar for my flist. We'll see how it goes.

Yeah, the Minas Tirith, Rivendell and Hobbiton costumes were really cool! The same girls went dressed up trees (Mallorn, party tree and I forgot) last year. I don't know where they get the ideas - and how they make their costumes! They were the winner of the audience award, of course. The stage costume contest had - among other things - three girls dressed up as Laurelin, Telperion and Ungoliant and re-enacted the Darkening of Valinor, which was so amazingly beautiful that it got even to the non-Silm readers. They won the award for best group. Yay. ^____^

You can have one anyway. I think. (I'm not very good at writing them myself, as I always feel I have to write something intelligent and thus take very long only to just write the standard stuff anyway in the end...)
