6. Were the same or higher class than your high school teachers. [I... think. I never really thought about it in those terms, but I suppose.]

8. Had more than 500 books in your childhood home. [I never counted them, but it's perfectly possible.]

Is it even possible to have a credit card in your name before you turn 18? My mum tried to get me one, but we had to wait until my birthday...

But yes, my list would look very similar, and I admit, I was too embarrassed to post it *opens a hideout for over-privileged people*

The question was, "with your name on it", not "in your name": It had my name on it, even though the account was my father's. That way it's possible. ;)

Oooh great. So I'm totally underprivileged with my parents both only having 8 years of schooling and all that. But I did have loads of books because they insisted. Why then did they treat me like utter sh*t at the unemploment agency when I said I'm an academic? Well thank you very much, "Sozialstaat".

Actually I suspect the point of this list is that anything on it is a privilege, so if you can say yes for one of the points, there goes the "underprivileged" thing.

As for the unemployment agency, my guess would be that they treated you like shit because you're an academic and they possibly aren't, in a classical sort of Town vs. Gown, "So you may have a university degree but I have a job, neener neener" kind of way. Just a guess though.

Yeah, I got me a crappy admin job at uni now, alongside teaching some classes for little money, so I do have a job again. I *could* have told that, erm, "lady" at the AA that HER OFFICE SUCKS HOLLOW EGGS, but I resisted. Barely. Imagine an early 80s building with tiny offices dug into corners...like a hobbit hole on a very tight budget.... ;) and no taste at all in interior decoration.
