Existential angst: 52%, generalised guilt: 98%

So I did a presentation today.

All the while I was doing it I thought it was dreadful, I was being uncoherent, talked gibberish, forgot stuff and brought it into the whole thing at later, less fitting places. In other words I hated the way it was going.

When I was done, two co-students approached me and said "That was really good, and you were so competent! Are you doing presentations often?"
And the professor said, "I really enjoyed your presentation, it was well-researched and very interesting."

What I was tempted to say was, OMG are you kidding? I was crap and I spent about half a day on research and another half day on the bloody powerpoint because I deleted it when I was halfway through and I kept losing the ends of my sentences and felt like an idiot and the last thing I am or was is competent and there are like a thousand things I should have done better, what the hell are you even talking about?

What I said was, Thank you!


Isn't it odd how, when you haven't written an LJ entry for a few days, you're tempted not to write another one even once you have something to tell? Or is it just me?

Know that feeling of totally sucking and others congratulating you... guess it is a matter of criteria.

And yes, I feel the same with LJ entries.

Isn't it odd how, when you haven't written an LJ entry for a few days, you're tempted not to write another one even once you have something to tell? Or is it just me?

I think the fact that I haven't posted a serious entry in what? -Weeks-? Should probably clue you in on my opinion here :) (I also can't be bothered, because I don't think I'm that interesting to polute people's F-lists...)
