Mostly because [livejournal.com profile] leaf_light asked for it - and because I don't know when next I'd get around to this kind of thing - have a bunch of current garden photos!
Without commentary this time, so you needn't be afraid of the usual herbology class ;)

Clicking the lil' thumbnail will lead to a larger version. All as usual! Except for the missing commentary.

And there we go! That'll do until autumn. Garden-wise, anyway. Baby picspams will no doubt appear sooner. (Also, I now remember that I never finished the holiday picspam... bad Lyra, no cookie!)

Thank you for that, there are some beautiful pics there. I love your cat too. Of course being me I'd have loved detailed comments to go with the photos, but it's fun guessing if that's the veg patch in a couple and how the garden as a whole fits together, also the 'find the bee' game. It looks a lovely place.

I'm tired enough to be going to bed now, but if anything happens soon good luck with your 'great adventure', and I look forward to hearing about baby stony's imminent arrival and seeing any pics.

Those are unbelievably gorgeous pictures. I love the red berries. Also the color of the sky contrasting with the limes. Really amazing photography.

What are those green things anyway? Are those avocados? They must be baby avocados. I always wanted an avocado tree in California. I lived for only about six months in an apartment when I was a student that had one that bore fruit. After that I always wanted one.

lovely pics! I so wish I could grow a garden. I spent the day cutting dry sticks in mine. We've had a terrible drought.

They're two cats actually, though it's hard to catch the differences on the pics if you don't know them well. :)

You can always ask - the picspam comments are usually short snarky one-liners anyway, nothing more. For what it's worth, the garden doesn't actually fit together anyway - it's just so chaotic that it almost looks like it's on purpose ;)

Thank you! It's finally growing more into a garden and less into a mess (well, at least now it's a semi-controlled mess ;)); I hope I can make that last!

Hah, no, neither limes nor avocados will grow here outside of greenhouses - our summers are too short. No, the green things are walnuts. I agree an avocado tree would be cool, though! (Well, what with global warming and everything, in ten years or so it might work out... :P)

Aw, that's so frustrating! We've had a very dry spring too, but fortunately June was mostly rainy, so the plants had a chance to recover. Our farmers unhappy this year though, as the wheat and corn didn't take well to the drought at all...

Found a ted talk on flowers. Enjoy!

In this visually dazzling talk, Jonathan Drori shows the extraordinary ways flowering plants -- over a quarter million species -- have evolved to attract insects to spread their pollen: growing 'landing-strips' to guide the insects in, shining in ultraviolet, building elaborate traps, and even mimicking other insects in heat.

One day, when the Orclings grow up and I don't waste my time writing fanfic stuff, I'll have a proper garden. At the moment, our border bushes have grown almost out of control. I have a baby walnut tree in a pot, but I don't know where to plant it, and an olive tree in another pot, the poor thing nearly died with all the snow and frost last winter.

I'll just look at your pics and be jealous.

Your garden is absolutely gorgeous.

(Also, I'm awaiting the baby picspam with lots of anticipation. :P)
