The piece of shit chairwoman. Who caused the collapse of the board of directors I was involved in. By stepping down because the other members didn't agree with her. Stood for re-election today. And got elected.

Yep, now I'm definitely glad I decided not to continue (and stuck with that).

My only consolation (and only hope for the Kindergarten) is that I know two of the board members are reasonable people invested in the original concept of the Kindergarten, so she will hopefully have the same trouble pushing through her "reforms" and having everyone agree with her. Then she'll probably look doe-eyed and step down again? We will find out in a few months, I guess.
Otherwise, I can only hope the whole thing won't be ruined before Julian is old enough for school. >_>

There's a second consolation actually, and that's... if she's going to continue heading the board, then they probably won't need many briefings/advice from the old crew, because in theory she's got all the knowledge. So... I might be rid of that energy drain even sooner.

So I'm furious, but at the same time I'm so fucking relieved.

In conclusion, SMÉAGOL IS FREEEEEE

Das Schlimme ist ja, dass die Hälfte der Leute glauben, sie opfert sich selbstlos und wird den Laden jetzt wieder retten. Dabei hat sie eine ohnehin verfahrene Situation erst mal eigenhändig schlimmer gemacht.

Immerhin: Jetzt muss sie das (weiterhin) wieder ins Reine bringen. Das zumindest ist fair. XD

Yeah, she made a bad situation worse, then threatened to resign when the rest of the board didn't agree with her, then resigned, forcing a re-election, and when the rest of us resigned as well, stepped up as the selfless saviour who despite her reservation steps back up for the aske of the Kindergarten. One might vomit.

Or scrunch on that nice juicy fish, precioussss. I definitely am glad to be outta there. I, too, hope that their actual work with the kids who are already in won't be affected too much.

Yep, and even though I felt compelled to step back up when she suddenly announced that she'd be willing to stand for election again after all, I managed to let it pass. I just can't handle it anymore.

Ich weiß nicht ob es die Sache schlimmer macht oder irgendwie makaber-tröstlich ist: aber solche Leute gibt es irgendwie immer und überall, egal was man wo ehrenamtlich tut. Ich hab zwei ehrenamtliche Jobs, einen mit wenig Intensität und einen mit mehr. Und hab oder hatte jeweils so jemanden an der Backe... dito meine Schwestern mit den jeweiligen Elternbeiräten in diversen Schulen. Seems to be a kind of job requirement. *eyeroll* Und sich da nicht reinziehen zu lassen ist nicht einfach...

Ja, in Sportvereinen hab ich sowas auch schon erlebt. Jörg meint ja, es streben halt oft Leute mit Geltungsdrang oder geistigen Potenzproblemen in solche Positionen, weil die meisten Vereine leider Schwierigkeiten damit haben, die Posten überhaupt zu füllen. Dadurch kommen dann eben auch immer wieder solche Figuren "an die Macht"... und ja, es ist dann sehr schwer, durchzuatmen und nicht reingezogen zu werden. >_>

Muss allerdings gestehen, dass ich die manipulativen Fähigkeiten dieser Dame bislang schwer unterschätzt habe. Ich dachte bisher, ihre Dummchen-mit-Schmollmund-Nummer wäre echt, aber stattdessen hat sie uns alle ausgespielt!
