Good grief, what an odyssey indeed. I can't wrap my mind around that a univeristy hospital would be so bad on directions still in 2020. I also totally agree about why has this been necessary now? To imagine, my MIL had been waiting for several months for her first appointment with the pain treatment department (Schmerzambulanz) because her current treatment for her very severe chronic pain had become ineffective. The appointment was cancelled until further notice due to corona. Her state is so bad that risking an infection at hospital was a risk her GP and orthopaedic specialist found acceptable due to her pain level, and she's a high risk patient. But no matter, poor you that you had to deal with all this for so long, and then the rest on top. That's really not decent. *hugs you in sympathy*
