Yeah, right. And even if I stick with this, I am below the average number of classes per week. And, to put it mildly, it's more than likely that I will kick the lectures at some point. Gah.
Talking about lectures, I'll get a whole lot of them this weekend, because, in some
very courageous moment, I signed up for the Tolkien seminar. That's going to be interesting, though, and I'm not sure whether I can say that about all of the above-mentioned classes...
Network Analysis, for example. It seems ok, but I dread the thought of having to do a presentation and write a paper on it. However, if I don't do that, I'll have to take it into my examinations, and that's even more dreadful.
Or "Plotting the Self": Topic is interesting enough, books are ok, but the class! Half of them seems to never have done a presentation in their entire lives. They don't know what a term paper is; they speak so softly you can hardly hear them, especially as everyone else is talking; and they stole![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

Decisions, decisions. What to do about my birthday? Because that day is relentlessly drawing nearer, and I have too many options. Our flat most likely won't be ready then, so a home party is out of the question. Now I could just spend the day here with Jörg, who has to prepare for his exam. Or I could attend my Fellowship's meeting, which I really want to, but Jörg isn't convinced he wants to come along, and spend my birthday without him? Or we just drive to my grandfather's, who, incidentally, was born on the same day (though not, of course, the same year). I know which option I like best, but do I know for which one to decide? No...
But he will come along to see Kill Bill Volume I and II tomorrow.

Had tomato salad for supper. How I miss the big, juicy South African tomatoes that, actually, tasted like more than water with a few random aromates.

Na klar. Und selbst wenn ich das durchhalte, habe ich immer noch nicht genug Semesterwochenstunden. Und es ist, gelinde gesagt, ziemlich wahrscheinlich, dass ich mindestens die Vorlesungen irgendwann loswerden will. Gah.
Wo wir beim Thema Vorlesungen sind: Davon kriege ich am Wochenende eine Menge, denn ich habe mich ja in meinem jugendlichen Leichtsinn fürs Tolkienseminar angemeldet. Das wird aber jedenfalls interessant,während ich mir nicht sicher bin, ob ich das für alle oben erwähnten Kurse sagen kann...
Netzwerkanalyse, zum Beispiel. Scheint ok, aber mir graust es davor, da ein Referat und eine Hausarbeit machen zu müssen. Wenn ich das aber nicht tue, muss ich es als Zwischenprüfungsfach nehmen, und das ist noch grausliger.
Oder "Plotting the Self": Das Thema ist interessant genug, die Bücher auch, aber die Leute! Die Hälfte scheint im ganzen Leben noch nie ein Referat gehalten zu haben und weiß nicht, was eine Hausarbeit ist; sie reden so leise, dass man sie kaum hört, schon gar nicht, weil alle untereinander tuscheln; und sie habenkanedas und mein Lieblingsthema geklaut, die dreckigen kleinen Diebe!
Entscheidungen, Entscheidungen. Was mach ich an meinem Geburtstag? Denn der rückt gnadenlos näher, und ich habe noch nichts geplant. Unsere Wohnung wird dann wohl noch nicht fertig sein, also ist eine Party da ausgeschlossen. Nun könnte ich den Tag natürlich einfach mit Jörg hier verbringen, er muss sich auch noch auf eine Prüfung vorbereiten. Oder ich fahre zum Gefährtentreffen, was ich wirklich will, aber Jörg ist nicht so überzeugt, dass er mitkommen will, und meinen Geburtstag ohne ihn verbringen? Oder wir fahren zu meinem Opa, der zufällig am gleichen Tag geboren wurde (natürlich nicht am selben). Ich weiß, welche Option ich bevorzuge, aber ich weiß immer noch nicht, wie ich mich entscheiden soll...
Aber er kommt morgen mit in die Kill Bill Double Feature.

Hab zum Abendessen Tomatensalat gemacht. Wie ich die großen, saftigen südafrikanischen Tomaten vermisse, die tatsächlich nach mehr als nur Wasser mit ein paar verirrten Aromastoffen geschmeckt haben.
