By now, Isa should be somewhere above the Atlantic Ocean. *siiigh*

Yesterday, we (my brother, Nils, me) went to see TRaumschiff Surprise - Periode I, which is a German parody on Star Trek, Star Wars and a whole lot of other stuff including but not limited to A Knight's Tale and Western movies. It's hilarious, and I think it might be more succesful outside Germany than Manitou's Shoe (which was by the same director, and much the same crew). The Shoe parodied a certain German sort of Western movies, so half the allusions were to that and thus probably not understandable for most people outside Germany. TRaumschiff, however, is making fun of several Hollywood blockbusters, so the jokes should be funny for Non-Germans as well.
I liked it, anyway. Evil, absurd, silly but intelligent humour is always good for me. Mark the intelligent. Oh, and not over-done, add that. The MAD Magazine has often wonderful ideas, but they over-do it every time.

And that meme everybody seems to be doing now.

My journal is called ...a dream within a dream because that's a line from an Edgar Allan Poe poem that I find beautiful, and it fits because I am a dreamer and often enough wondering about the nature of reality.
My subtitle is Ich bin ein Clown und sammle Augenblicke because that's a line from the novel Ansichten eines Clowns by Heinrich Böll that fits to a journal in which I collect moments, days, thoughts. (English: "I'm a clown and collecting moments.">
My friends page is called Strangers from distant lands, friends of old because that phrase includes the friends, but also the fact that most of them are, in fact, strangers. And some of them come from distant lands.
My user name is oloriel because Lyra was already taken when I set up my LiveJournal. Oloriel supposedly means dreamer(female) in Quenya, so, along with the journal name, it works well enough.

And with a very, very bad conscience I belatedly cross my fingers for seefuchs, malicedl and eliathanis, who had their intermediate exam in Japanese today.

Inzwischen dürfte Isa irgendwo über dem Atlantik sein. *seufz*

Gestern waren wir (mein Bruder, Nils, ich) in TRaumschiff Surprise - Periode I. Ausgesprochen amüsant, und hat größere Chancen, auch außerhalb von Deutschland anzukommen, da ja diesmal große Hollywood-Blockbuster vereimert werden und nicht deutsche Western. Jedenfalls hat der Film mir gut gefallen. Bösartiger, absurder, verrückter aber intelligenter Humor ist immer gut. Wichtig ist das intelligent. Oh, und nicht übertrieben viel, das auch. MAD hat auch oft großartige Ideen, aber da wird dann immer dermaßen überzogen, dass es nicht mehr komisch ist.

Und das Meme, das momentan jeder zu machen scheint.

Mein Journal heißt ...a dream within a dream, weil das eine Zeile aus einem Gedicht von Edgar Allan Poe ist, das ich sehr schön finde, und weil es passt, da ich nun einmal ein Träumerchen bin und mich oft genug frage, wo der Traum anfängt und die Realität aufhört oder andersrum.
Mein Untertitel ist Ich bin ein Clown und sammle Augenblicke, weil
das eine Zeile aus dem Buch Ansichten eines Clowns von Heinrich Böll, die zu einem Journal, in dem ich Augenblicke, Tage, Gedanken sammle, passt.
Meine Freundesseite heißt Strangers from distant lands, friends of old, weil darin die Freunde stecken, aber auch die Tatsache, dass die meisten ja eigentlich doch Fremde sind. Und einige kommen auch aus fernen Landen.
Mein Username ist oloriel, weil Lyra schon weg war, als ich mein LiveJournal eingerichtet habe. Oloriel bedeutet wohl Träumerin auf Quenya, also passt es, zusammen mit dem Namen des Journals, ganz gut.

Und mit einem sehr, sehr schlechten Gewissen drücke ich verspätet die Daumen für seefuchs, malicedl und eliathanis, die heute ihre ZP in Japanisch hatten.
