olorielNote to self: When looking at the night sky for a longer time, lay down right in the beginning. Otherwise, neck will start hurting.
But so many pretty falling stars!
And since it had rained this morning, it was still nicely cool and the garden had that wonderful smell of wet earth again.

Unfortunately, since we are living quite close to the city centre, it's never really dark. But even so, I could see some of the Perseids.

Had three wonderful days with Jörg before he had to leave for Heilbronn again. Apparently, while he was gone, they sorted out some hickhack and made some new plans, which means that he could practically have stayed here for the rest of the week because nothing important will be done before Sunday. Gah.
The perfection that are German nuclear plants.
We both noticed that two weeks are a damn long time. And I learned that you really, really get used to not sleeping alone. It feels wrong to lie all alone in bed. Sympathetic as they are, our cats have both taken to sleep beside me (which they usually don't do both at once) so I wasn't altogether alone, but of course, that's hardly the same thing.
And now it's another week. Maybe he's returning here from Thursday to Sunday, which would be really nice. But all this driving to and fro and changing plans and things is somewhat trying, not to mention the amounts of kilometres and liters of gas needlessly spent.

Mentale Notiz: Wenn du dir den Nachthimmel längere Zeit anschauen willst, leg dich gleich am Anfang hin. Ansonsten tut nämlich ganz schnell der Nacken weh.
Aber all die schönen Sternschnuppen!
Und weil es heute Morgen geregnet hat, war es immer noch schön kühl, und der Garten roch wieder so gut nach nasser Erde.
Leider wohnen wir eben doch ziemlich direkt am Stadtzentrum, also wird es nicht ordentlich dunkel. Aber trotzdem konnte ich ein paar von den Perseiden sehen.

Hatte drei wunderschöne Tage mit Jörg, der heute früh wieder nach Heilbronn gefahren ist. Da hat er dann erfahren, dass sie in seiner Abwesenheit ein wenig Hickhack beseitigt und neue Pläne aufgestellt haben, so dass er eigentlich für den Rest der Woche hätte hierbleiben können, weil vor Sonntag eh nichts Wichtiges mehr gemacht wird. Gah.
Die wunderbare Welt deutscher Kernkraftwerke.
Wir haben beide gemerkt, dass zwei Wochen verdammt lang sein können. Und ich habe gelernt, dass man sich wirklich daran gewöhnt, nicht allein zu schlafen. Es fühlt sich falsch an, allein im Bett zu liegen. Mitfühlend, wie sie sind, haben unsere Katzen sich angewöhnt, beide neben mir zu schlafen (was sie normalerweise nicht beide tun), so dass ich nicht völlig allein war, aber das ist natürlich immer noch etwas Anderes.
Und jetzt ist es also noch eine Woche. Vielleicht kommt er doch von Donnerstag bis Sonntag wieder her, das wäre wirklich schön. Aber all diese Hin- und Herfahrerei und Planänderungen und so weiter werden langsam anstrengend, ganz davon abgesehen, dass es eine eigentlich unnötige Kilometer- und Spritfresserei ist.
