...in case anyone wanted to know what squee was about, it was not the general Christmasness, it was not the

shoebox_project Christmas update, although that's great, it was not even the beautiful Maedhros painting I got from

eruannath, although that's fantastic *huggles like mad*.
It was the 50th anniversary edition of The Lord of the Rings. Yes, my boyfriend got it for me, and it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I mean, it's wrapped in leather. And all the pages have a gold rim, even the maps. And it's got the pages from the book of Mazarbul in it. And new prefaces. And actually it's beyond beautiful. *loves to death*
And he got me a lyre. Oh, this is just too great.

Other beautiful things I got:

- an Indian drabble book from

- Halloren chocolates from Meritamun
- self-made chocolates from Jörg's mother (who also partakes in the lyre).

And today and tomorrow we visit my extended family.
But actually, after these things, I don't even need any more presents.
Honestly, if that book weren't so precious, I'd have put it next to me in bed. Did I mention how much I love it? (And the guy who gave it to me. Squee!)

shoebox_project Weihnachtsupdate, obwohl das toll ist, es war nicht einmal das wunderschöne Maedhros-Bild, das mir

eruannath gemalt hat, obwohl das fantastisch ist.
Es war die Jubiläumsausgabe des Herrn der Ringe. Ja, mein Schatz hat sie mir geschenkt, und es ist das schönste Buch, das ich je gesehen habe. In Leder gebunden. Und alle Seiten mit Goldschnitt, sogar die Karten. Und die Seiten aus dem Buch von Mazarbul sind darin. Und neue Vorwörter. Und um genau zu sein, ist es schon weit über schön hinaus. *zu Tode lieb*
Und eine Leier hat er mir auch geschenkt. Oh, das ist einfach zu wunderbar.

Ehrlich, wenn das Buch nicht so wertvoll wäre, hätte ich es mit ins Bett genommen. Habe ich schon erwähnt, wie sehr ich es liebe? (Und ihn, der es mir geschenkt hat. Squee!)
