...in case anyone wanted to know what squee was about, it was not the general Christmasness, it was not the shoebox_project Christmas update, although that's great, it was not even the beautiful Maedhros painting I got from eruannath, although that's fantastic *huggles like mad*.
It was the 50th anniversary edition of The Lord of the Rings. Yes, my boyfriend got it for me, and it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I mean, it's wrapped in leather. And all the pages have a gold rim, even the maps. And it's got the pages from the book of Mazarbul in it. And new prefaces. And actually it's beyond beautiful. *loves to death*
And he got me a lyre. Oh, this is just too great.

Other beautiful things I got:

- an Indian drabble book from nefantoiel
- Halloren chocolates from Meritamun
- self-made chocolates from Jörg's mother (who also partakes in the lyre).

And today and tomorrow we visit my extended family.
But actually, after these things, I don't even need any more presents.
Honestly, if that book weren't so precious, I'd have put it next to me in bed. Did I mention how much I love it? (And the guy who gave it to me. Squee!)
