olorielUnd dann kam das zweite Wort. Und damit fing der ganze Ärger an, denn mit dem zweiten Wort kam SYNTAX.
Was an Words in the Mind gut ist: Alles ist für Dumme erklärt, mit vielen leicht verständlichen Beispielen.
Was an Words in the Mind schlecht ist: Alles ist für Dumme erklärt, mit vielen leicht verständlichen Beispielen. Was beim zweiten Durchlesen nur noch nervt, weil du die Prinzipien schon beim ersten Mal verstanden hast, die Beispiele dich nur unnötig aufhalten und es wirklich nicht nötig ist, jedesmal, wenn ein und derselbe Fachbegriff (z.B. Malapropismus) jedes Mal, wenn er fällt, wieder aufs Neue erklärt wird. ICH HABE SCHON BEIM ERSTEN MAL KAPIERT, WAS EIN VERDAMMTER MALAPROPISMUS IST! Ein Malapropismus ist, wenn man ein Wort meint, aber ein anderes, das so ähnlich klingt, verwendet. Z.B. wenn man "Anekdote" meint, aber "Antidote" sagt. Ja, oder "Amnesie" statt "Amelie", genau.
Außerdem ist das Buch ziemlich eindimensional, beschäftigt sich aber mit etwas Multidimensionalem. Grargh.
Kontrastprogramm.
Vorgestern Abend war ich mit meinem Bruder in The House of Flying Daggers. War trotz des doofen Titels (der aber Sinn macht, sobald der Film anfängt) ein ziemlich guter Film; ich fand ihn besser als sowohl Tiger and Dragon als auch Hero, und die fand ich schon beide sehr schön. Die Story war jetzt nix übermäßig Neues, aber sehr schön in Szene gesetzt, und die Bilder, Kostüme usw waren, wie man das ja von diesen chinesischen Filmen mittlerweile erwartet, fantastisch. Empfehlenswert, wenn man ästhetische Historien-Kampfkunstfilme mag. Außerdem ist Takeshi Kaneshiro sowas von sexy *fangirl*.
Ansonsten mache ich mir inzwischen ordentlich Panik wegen der blöden Prüfung. Hatte ich irgendwann mal behauptet, dass die Anforderungen sich lächerlich einfach anhören?

Which is annoying when you read it for the second time, because you understood the principles when you first read it, the examples only unnecessarily slow things down and it is just not necessary to explain a technical term (like malapropism) again every single time it is mentioned. I DID UNDERSTAND WHAT AN ERUDAMN MALAPROPISM IS THE FIRST TIME IT SHOWED UP! A malapropism is when you mean to say one word but mix it up with another word that sounds similar. Like meaning 'anecdote' but saying 'antidote'.
And the book is terribly one-dimensional, but it deals with a multi-dimensional topic. Grargh.
Now, for something completely different.
The day before yesterday my brother and I went to see The Hourse of Flying Daggers, which, in spite of the stupid title (but it makes sense once the film begins), is quite a good movie; I liked it even better than both Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Hero, and those two I liked a lot. The story wasn't overly innovative, but the cinematography was very nice, and the scenery, costumes and so on were phantastic, as we have come to expect it in those Chinese movies. Highly reccomendable, if you like aesthetic historical martial arts movies. Besides, Takeshi Kaneshiro is TEH SEXY *fangirl*.
Otherwise, I am panicking about the stupid exam. Did I say at some point that the requirements sound ridiculously simple?
With that, I leave you with a little poem to ponder and to prove that even though the spell-check finds no mistake, something still may not be spelled correctly:
