Just typed all four Japanese texts for the oral exam. In Kanji/Kana and in Romaji. Why? Because I scrawled the yomikata in my book and I may not use my book so I should practice reading without furigana. Yes. And the Romaji-text is for Jörg, so I can read the text out to him and he can check whether I'm doing it all right. Aren't I brilliant.
Must admit, however, that the problems of old people, random scientific papers on traditional Japanese culture, a visit after a long time or Abe-san's ability to memorize first sentences fail to enchant me.

Am nervous, not only because of the exams, but also because of linguistics class tomorrow. Hope Prof. Phillips will not chose tomorrow to tell me my term paper sucks and I have to do it all again. Which is probably what he'll tell me, sooner or later. *sigh*

Nein, das ist kein guter Zeitpunkt, um zu wachsen. Nein, ehrlich nicht. Bleib wo du bist. Das Letute, was ich jetzt brauchen kann, ist schmerzendes Zahnfleisch.
Obwohl die zusätzliche Weisheit vielleicht ganz sinnvoll wäre.

Habe gerade alle vier Japanischtexte für die mündliche Prüfung abgetippt. In Kanji/ Kana und in Romaji. Warum? Weil ich in meinem Buch bei den unbekannten Kanji die Lesart drübergekritzelt habe, ich in der Prüfung aber nicht mein Buch nehmen darf, also muss ich üben, die Texte ohne Lesehilfen zu lesen. Ja. Und die Romaji-Fassung ist für Jörg, damit ich ihm die Texte vorlesen kann und er schauen kann, ob ich das richtig mache. Bin ich nicht genial.
Muss allerdings gestehen, dass mich die Probleme alter Leute, irgendwelche wissenschaftlichen Aufsätze über die traditionelle Kultur Japans, ein Besuch nach langer Zeit oder auch Abe-sans Fähigkeit, irgendwelche schwachsinnigen Anfangssätze auswendig zu lernen, nicht wirklich begeistern.

Hab Angst, nicht nur wegen der mündlichen Prüfung, sondern auch wegen Linguistik morgen früh. Hoffentlich erzählt mir Dr Phillips morgen nicht, meine Hausarbeit wäre Mist und muss überarbeitet werden. Wobei er mir das früher oder später sicher sagen wird. *sfz*
