metaquotes. Yes, the joke may not be funny for everyone, the photoshopping's not really good, and it's certainly sort of disrespectful, but it's not worth the drama. And the comments building up on each other are just beautiful. Both on the original community and on metaquotes.
... why yes, I do have a crooked sense of humour. We all know that.
Which probably means that I'll go straightways to hell.
As long as Viggo Mortensen is still the devil, I can deal with that.
In other news, MAY THIS MONTH NEVER REACH ITS END.
Why?
Because our Kendô dôjô is hosting the German Team Championships this year. On April 30th.
Due to "internal stresses" the dôjô itself will not send a team into the competition. But of course, someone has to fight for Cologne.
Which means, the students.
Which means, among others, me.
And our sensei explicitly said, me. He named all of those who have to fight. Which is neither a surprise nor an honour because the field is limited; we are but four women in armour, so all of us have to go.
That would be all fine and well except for the part where I have the reflexes of a telephone booth and the battle skills of a frying pan. Quod erat demonstrandum in practice today.
Combined with the overwhelming honour of having been chosen for the makeshift team - well. Me not happy.
Oh well. They'll beat us up, that's all. It'll probably be fast; that mercy at least.
</ over-dramatize) Today, I saw a Kanji poster saying 円満, 平和, 英知, 泰然 (harmony, peace, knowledge, serenity). Ah, if only they had left out harmony and taken 力 instead. 力 is power, strength and the Force. I would practically have gotten complete Jedi Code then. <i>That poster I'd have bought.
Now I have to make it myself.

Wisst ihr, sowas hier ist der Grund, warum ichmetaquotes liebe. Ja, der Witz ist wirklich nicht für jeden lustig, so toll ist die Photoshopperei nicht mal, und respektlos ist es auch; aber das Drama ist es ja wohl nicht wert. Und die Kommentare, die sich dann aufbauen, sind einfach nur wunderschön. Sowohl in der Community, wo der Stein des Anstoßes herkam, als auch in metaquotes.
... ja, ich weiß, ich hab einen verqueren Sinn für Humor. Wissen wir doch alle.
Was vermutlich heißt, dass ich direkt zur Hölle fahre.
Solang immer noch Viggo Mortensen der Teufel ist, ist das scho recht.
Davon abgesehen, MÖGE DIESER MONAT NIE SEINEN LETZTEN TAG ERREICHEN.
Wieso?
Weil unser Kendô-Dôjô dieses Jahr die Deutschen Mannschaftsmeisterschaften veranstaltet. Am 30. April.
Nun stellt das Dôjô selber wegen "interner Schwierigkeiten" gar keine Mannschaft auf. Aber irgendwer soll ja doch für Köln antreten.
Was dann die Studenten sind.
Was, unter anderem, ich bin.
Und Sensei sagte denn auch ausdrücklich, dass ich antreten muss. Was weder eine Überraschung noch eine Ehre ist, weil die Auswahl gering ist; wir sind nur vier Frauen mit Rüstung, also müssen wir alle ran.
Das wäre ja noch ganz ok, wenn ich nicht die Reflexe einer Telefonzelle und das Kampfgeschick einer Bratpfanne habe. Quod erat demonstrandum heute beim Training.
Und dann ist da auch noch die überwältigende Ehre, Notnagel sein zu dürfen - nja. Nicht glücklich.
Naja. Sie werden uns halt verhauen. Das wird vermutlich schnell gehen; das immerhin ist eine gnädige Aussicht.

Hab heute ein Kanji-Poster gesehen, auf dem stand 円満, 平和, 英知, 泰然 (Harmonie, Frieden, Weisheit, Gelassenheit).
Ach, wenn sie doch statt der Harmonie 力 genommen hätten! 力 ist Kraft und Stärke und Die Macht. Dann hätte ich quasi den kompletten Jedi-Kodex gehabt. Das Poster hätte ich gekauft.
Jetzt muss ich es wohl selber machen.
