Well, apparently that "still not Pope" thing was pushing it.

I'm overly self-satisfied that, when I came out of the seminar and they were transmitting ~~Ratzinger's~~ Benedict XVI's introductory speech on the radio, I understood more than just the gist of the Italian speech. And I've never even learned Italian. Am proud of my l337 Latin skillz now.

Also, you know you're a total geek when your first thought about "Benedict" is that it sounds utterly stupid in Quenya. Laitainon. *snorts*

The study counselling was at an utterly stupid time, but at least it wasn't utterly pointless. I finally got the signature and the seal I should have gotten four semesters ago. And I finally got to know where to sign on for the intermediate exam in Anthro, as this has, so far, been a secret of the institute. I only knew the office wasn't responsible, the student assistants weren't responsible either and no one would tell you. Turns out the bastard assistants from hell are the ones you have to go to. Why didn't they just tell me that?

(Yes, I know. So people go to the study counselling to be told there.)

Na, offenbar hat jemand das "still not Pope" als Herausforderung angesehen.

Bin irgendwie übermäßig stolz darauf, dass ich, als ich aus der Uni kam und sie im Autoradio gerade ~~Ratzingers~~ Benedikt XVIs Einstandsrede brachten, mehr als nur den groben Inhalt der Rede (auf Italienisch) verstanden habe. Wo ich doch nie Italienisch gelernt habe. Aber meine Lateinfähigkeiten sind offenbar doch nicht sooo schlecht.

Im Übrigen weiß man, dass man ein rettungsloser Geek ist, wenn der erste Gedanke über "Benedikt" ist, dass sich das auf Quenya total albern anhört. Laitainon. *snort*

Die Studienberatung war zwar zu einer total unmöglichen Zeit, aber immerhin nicht total überflüssig. Ich habe endlich die Unterschrift und den Stempel in der Beratungsbescheinigung gekriegt, die ich schon vor vier Semestern hätte organisieren sollen. Und ich weiß jetzt endlich, wo man sich im Ethno-Institut für die ZP anmelden kann, denn das war bis jetzt ein Institutsgeheimnis. Ich wusste nur, dass das Sekretariat nicht zuständig ist und die studentischen Hilfskräfte auch nicht, die haben mir aber leider nicht gesagt, wer dann. Jetzt weiß ich, dass es die BAfHs sind, die man fragen muss. Warum konnte mir das jetzt keiner so sagen?

(Ja, ich weiß. Damit man in die Studienberatung geht und es da gesagt kriegen kann.)
