In South Africa, Jörg bought himself a barbequebraai tool set. A few weeks ago, they had rather good barbeque grills for a pretty good price around here, so we bought that, too.
As a result, Jörg now uses every chance to braai.
Espetadas, corn cobs, baked potatoes and salad with tomatoes, peach and peppermint (you have to try this. It sounds strange, but it's the perfect mixture. Add a bit of balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. EXCELLENT.).
So. Tasty.

In other news (which is a term I'm using far too often these days): GIP.

Yes, I know. I should be ashamed. Everyone and their dog's brother's boyfriend has some sort of iPod parody icon. It's a lousy pun, the sort that costs 10 Euro for the Bad Pun Cash Box. Also, it's blasphemy.
But I couldn't help it. Blame the desperatefans chat (which is something else I'm using far too often these days). Blame apple. Blame the world in general.

In yet other news, Japanese advice columns are totally crackbrained. The questions are already worded in an absurdly detailed way, but the answers? Five paragraphs of explaining why that is a really good and justified question and pointing out any facet of the question the questioner might have missed; and then, one final sentence to answer it. The Japanese are crazy.

In Südafrika hat sich Jörg ein Set mit guten Grill- Braai-Werkzeugen gekauft. Und vor ein paar Wochen gab's bei Aldi recht gute Grille, also haben wir uns da auch einen zugelegt.
Das Ergebnis ist, dass Jörg jetzt jede Gelegenheit zum Grillen nutzt.
Espetadas, Maiskolben, Folienkartoffeln und Tomaten-Pfirsich-Pfefferminzsalat (das müsst ihr mal probieren. Klingt komisch, ist aber die perfekte Kombination. Dazu etwas Balsamico-Essig, Olivenöl, Pfeffer und Salz. Perfekt.).
So. Lecker.

Davon mal abgesehen: *auf Icon zeig*

Ja, ich weiß. Ich sollte mich schämen. Jeder, aber auch wirklich jeder hat irgendeine Art von iPod-Parodie-Icon. Das Wortspiel ist auch lausig und kostet mindestens 10 Euro. Davon mal abgesehen ist es auch noch Blasphemie.
Aber ich konnte nicht anders. Der desperatefans-Chat ist Schuld. Apple ist Schuld. Die Welt im Allgemeinen ist Schuld.

Noch mehr davon abgesehen, japanische Ratgeberkolumnen sind völlig für den Arsch. Die Fragen sind schon mal doof, aber die Antworten? Erst kommen fünf Absätze, warum die Frage wirklich gut und berechtigt war und was die Frage noch für Aspekte haben kann, die das Fragende möglicherweise nicht bemerkt hat; und dann, als ein allerletzter Satz, eine Antwort. Die spinnen, die Japaner.

Weeeell... Breeze has been fond of it for a while - since before I enrolled him on DF. Go look at his icons (http://www.livejournal.com/allpics.bml?user=lord_sulimo), Eicca is not too bad as a model for an elf - a Vanya one at that.

(And it's not a matter of Vanyar music, more like Breeze having some fondness for some types of human music.)

Eigentlich bloss die ueblichen Verdaechtigen *G* - also Olivenoel und ein wenig dunkler Balsamico, ausserdem sparsam Salz und nicht ganz so sparsam Pfeffer. Man kann dann noch guten Rohschinken dazu nehmen, wenn man moechte.
