Right. Now I've been fed with all those quotes from the Ep III novelization, I am shocked to find that EVERY DIRTY THOUGHT that crossed my mind during that movie seems to have crossed the writer's mind, too. And then some.

In fact, I don't think Matt Stower actually wrote that book. It looks more like he was too busy and handed the whole stuff over to his daughter (I am assuming that he has one, and I'm assuming she writes slashfic) who happily wrote the book, taking all the implications literal and slashing anything in sight.
I can practically see the editors. "Dude, did George Lucas authorize THAT?!" - "Um. Well. George Lucas hates George Bush, so, you know, maybe he did..."
And it was published; and it was good.

Jo.

I'm going to have to read this now because I want to see if there's implied Yoda/Chewbacca.

It's really sad that now I want to read it...I haven't even seen the movie yet.

So, what order do you recommend?

*points* I still don't have the book. But some of the funny can be found here (http://www.livejournal.com/community/starwars_slash/6098.html?#cutid1), courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] calichan...

The book was SO FULL OF GAY. I mean, honestly. They make it so easy for us, it almost took all the fun out of it! That writer? Has never heard of subtext. EVERY TWO PAGES.

(needless to say I squeed like an idiot reading it, and I don't even ship. Ahhh, best movie novelisation ever.)

*blinks* Oh, lord. Now I want to read it. Badly. And I hated the movie. But from the look of those quotes, the book might actually be worth it...... *ponders*

May I quote your entry in a post so I can tell my friends to go read the funny quotes too? XD

Hm. The book seems to be much better on character development, dialogues and allaround story (there's stuff in the book that got cut out of the movie, for example). So you might be disappointed if you watch the movie after reading the book first. So maybe first movie, first book?

It probably depends on how you generally think about movies based on books. This time it's the other way 'round, but the book is still likely to be better than the movie... so. If you like book-based movies (in general), I suppose the order doesn't matter. But if any movie you saw after reading the book disappointed you, you might want to give the movie the chance to be seen before reading...

Only 'cos of the part where Anakin kills the little ones. lol Well, and because some of the dialogue was rather atrocious, but I think I could've forgiven that... never know for sure though. Oh well.

Eru, the dialogue was bad. Managed to overhear that on second seeing, though....
Oh yes, that scene was terrible. But as half the cinema was sobbing along with me, I guess it was easier to bear. Companions in woe, and all that...
