By the way, I find it extremely annoying that my package takes two days to get from Kyôto to Frankfurt and at least five days to get from Frankfurt to me.

Im Übrigen finde ich es tierisch ärgerlich, dass ein Paket von Kyôto nach Frankfurt zwei Tage braucht, von Frankfurt zu mir aber mindestens fünf Tage.

Wie ging das denn nun eigentlich mit dem Zoll? Hast du da nachgefragt oder hat sich das mehr oder weniger von selber geklaert?

Letzteres... wenn ich das richtig kapiert habe, rechnen sie die japanische MWSt runter, dafür muss ich dann dem Zoll aber die deutsche MWSt zahlen...

I think the German postal service and the military postal service have learned from each other. A package will only take a couple days to get from wherever it's coming from in the states to New York, and then it'll take anywhere from just another couple days to several weeks before it finally finds its way to Wiesbaden.

*nods* Looks like it.
I mean, even with the customs stuff, they could have sent me a notification twice already - they cannot pretend they don't have the package yet, as the Japanese Postal Service [Eru bless them ;)] have a tracking service so I know exactly where it is.

Okay, I guess it's the fault of Customs, not of the Postal Service, but still!
