I thought Silmfic was a place for grown-ups. But now the kiddies begin to discover it too. Which is fine, really, there cannot be enough Silm!love in the world. Only they shouldn't write fanfic. Especially not OMG FeANor is liek SO HAWT fanfic. Although OME he is hot. But immature kids hitting on my favourite character? SO NOT GOOD. Go hit on Finarfin, kids. He's all yours. I don't give a damn about Finarfin.

In other news, iharthdarth is just what I needed today. I cannot believe I didn't discover that sooner. *squee* for Chibi!Vader!

Nah, that's not actually what I meant.
Actually I should bitch about myself because I cannot just stop reading horribly bad fanfic even if it's really horribly bad just because it's about Fëanor. Obsessed much? *facepalms*

Heh. The actual point was the not!publishing. Of course, the kids can write as much as they want and even hit on Fëa if they feel like it. Just... do it somewhere private...

Yeah. I wrote a lot of crap back then, I was just lucky enough to realise I shouldn't publish it.

I'm really grateful to the Silm fandom in general, actually, because this was right after FotR was released and it distracted me from all the really terrible stuff I could have ended up with. If there were a lot of kids writing bad Silmfic back then, I never ran across it. But I suspect they were all busy writing Legolas romances. Thanks to the Silm stuff being of so much higher quality, I avoided most of all that and matured a hell of a lot. (Which came in really handy when I found the HP fandom)

Plus, it introduced me to slash. ;)
