juno_magic in Cologne today. We haunted every bookstore in the vicinity, and Subway and Starbucks (it seems we're turning this into a tradition!) as well as the Stofferia. Also, someone said 'shiny' every five minutes or so. It was very enjoyable.

And as Leany had promised to get me a gift if I hit the 20k words 'till today - and I actually reached the 25k yesterday - she bought me a copy of Anansi Boys! I finally found a bookstore in Cologne that sold it.

...So, don't anybody dare tell me again that participating in NaNo is useless. Because 344 pages of Neil Gaiman in exchange for 25,000 words of my own pretentious drivel? That's a pretty good deal, people. Far more than I deserve. Thank you, Leany. I owe you big-time. I hope I can think of something good for Christmas...

Hab heute mit

juno_magic Köln unsicher gemacht. Wir haben alle Buchhandlungen in der Gegend überfallen, außerdem Subway und Starbucks (das scheinen wir uns zur Tradition gemacht zu haben!) und die Stofferia. Und alle 5 Minuten hat jemand 'shiny' gesagt. Mit Gummistimme! Es war sehr nett.

Und da Leany mir versprochen hatte, mir was zu schenken, wenn ich bis heute auf 20k Wörter kommen würde - und ich gestern nacht ja tatsächlich sogar auf 25k gekommen bin - hat sie mir Anansi Boys gekauft! Wir haben nämlich endlich einen Buchladen in Köln gefunden, der es im Angebot hatte.

... Also erzähl' mir bloß keiner, dass sich die NaNo-Teilnahme nicht lohnt. Denn 344 Seiten Neil Gaiman im Austausch für 25.000 Wörter meines eigenen Gebrabbels? Das ist ein verdammt guter Deal. Eigentlich viel mehr, als ich verdient habe. Vielen Dank, Leany! Und ich schulde dir schon wieder was. Ich hoffe, mir fällt zu Weihnachten etwas Gutes ein...
