So, after the power failures in the Münsterland region due to the snow chaos, people now sue their respective power authorities. Why? Because the food in the refrigerator got spoiled. After all, the fridges were without power for a few days.

.... seriously, no offense to the Westphalians here, but... WTF?

I totally understand that they wish to be compensated for the days without power, I really do. But THAT? Is the Most Stupid Argument ever.

Also, jetzt nach den Stromausfällen im Münsterland, die durch das Schneechaos entstanden sind, versuchen die Leute da, ihre Energieversorger zu verklagen, weil ihnen bei zwei Tagen ohne Strom das Essen im Kühlschrank vergammelt ist.

... ehrlich, liebe Westfalen, ich will euch nicht beleidigen, aber... WTF?

Ich verstehe wirklich, dass die Leute für die Tage ohne Strom entschädigt werden wollen. Aber DAS? Ist das Dümmste Argument Aller Zeiten.

Wouldn't it have been very easy to just store the things that could spoil right outside...? I mean, Dad and me lived for 4 months without a fridge, and since it was winter we didn't have any problem.

That's exactly what I thought. However, I've now been told that apparently it's more about hunters and companies who have huge amounts of stuff that needs to be shock-frosted rather than private households.
