... wow. From what I currently get to read everywhere (and I'm getting about as sick of it as YOU are of receiving weeks-old comment notifications), I'm really, really, really glad that I don't use comment notification mails anyway.

Wow, that's amazing! I mailed them Friday afternoon. Apparently it takes less than 6 days for a card to reach Germany!

That's really impressive, isn't it? I once got mail from Australia within a week, that was pretty cool. On the other hand, a letter I sent to Canada took almost three weeks. So it's really difficult to plan...

How do you keep track of comments without the notification mails?

By obsessive checking and re-checking of my journal and friendslist, and by keeping in mind where I commented. Usually that works ok. Sometimes (like with kaneda's birthday) it goes wrong, because after three or so days, I usually consider a topic closed (unless there's an ongoing discussion there)... But generally, this works so much better. 50 notification mails a day would drive me insane.
