What he meant: Kodomo no toki, mainichi toko o nobesaseraremashita.
What that means: When I was a child, I had to make my bed every day.
What he said: When I was a child, I had to prostitute myself every day.

And what we learn from that: Dictionaries really, really need to list connotations.

In my Japanese 101 class several years ago, we were practicing invitations to do various things. I mispronounced a word, and accidentally asked a very attractive young lady if she wanted to go lick with me.
