The Lord of the Rings Symphony will be played. On May 25th. IN COLOGNE.
I'M SO GOING.
... I just hope that it's not the weekend of my godchild's first communion. May 25th is Ascension Day, but I don't know whether that's an official holiday in Thuringia. But a first communion is a Catholic event, so they shouldn't hold it on a Catholic holiday, right? ... right?! Especially when it's a Thursday?
EDIT: According to the official homepage of the Kölnarena, where the concert will be, it's actually May 28th. Hm.

Date: 2006-01-01 04:10 pm (UTC)Im letzten Jahr fand so ein Konzert in Neumünster statt; da wurde es vom NDR-Orchester mit Unterstützung vom Schleswig-Holstein Festival Chor gespielt und von Terry Edwards dirigiert. Größtenteils also eher lokal (vom Dirigenten und der belgischen Sopranistin abgesehen). Ich weiß jetzt nicht, ob das bei diesem Konzert ähnlich ist oder ob das eher ein Tournee-Orchester ist...
