Went to visit my boyfriend in the hospital. (Before you go all worried: He had surgery on the nasal cartilage after it got broken and healed crookedly (without him noticing either) so often that he eventually got hardly any air breathing through the nose, so he had it regulated surgically now.) He looks like someone punched him in the face now, poor dear, but all in all, he's much better than expected (although very drowsy after the anaesthesia, and incapable of breathing through his nose at all for the next few days).

I don't like visiting hospitals. They're scary, overheated and sterile. I mean, it's good that they're sterile, don't get me wrong. If I had to stay in hospital for a while, I'd please want it to be sterile. But it's uncomfortable for visiting.

Nonetheless, I spent two hours there, which were mainly passed with reading American Gods to him after we'd exchanged what little news had accumulated since yesterday evening. I hope he likes it; I'm lousy at reading to people, or at least it feels like that, because reading out loud slows me down. And American Gods is probably difficult to follow if you only hear it (and are, moreover, half-drugged and have a nose like a small pumpkin in your face*).

But he says he feels better than he thought he would, although he won't be fit for society until Friday or so. *sighs*

In other news, for those to whom I bitched about the evilness of having to draw mass scenes, here's the reason.

*Actually, I'm exaggerating. It's not a small pumpkin. It's more like a medium-sized onion. About as tear-inducing, too.
