I wanted to post this yesterday, when it happened, but my bro's PC didn'T like me. Grrr. So well, on day later.

A short day between two exams, and a weird dream in the night. It's not new, I've had it before twice, last year, around the Abitur exams (does that mean something?). But it's still kind of weird.
First, I'm in the complete dark (and convinced I'm awake). I turn around a few times and eventually see something like a shimmer of light at the horizon (I can't actually say what direction although I'm convinced, somehow, that it's westward) and start walking towards it. As I walk on, the light gets brighter although I can't see where it's coming from. Anyway, I can see the ground I'm treading now, and it's like a puzzle, consisting of jigsaw pieces. In this night's version, it was all colorful like the sky during a sunset, as it was when I first dreamt it last year (the second version had it in shades of grey, with mirroring pieces in between). This ground just stretches on and on and I walk on, until I see the sun, but it doesn't look like it does in 'realiy', but more like in an old illuistration, a sunball with beams in yellow and orange and red; and beneath, stars begin to shine, and I can see the moon, too, and a planet, an orange planet with rings around it.
Did I mention the silence? Up till then, there was no sound at all, not even my footsteps, but now the sounds come, first it sounds like a choir singing silently, it get's louder, sounds like the wind, it gets louder still until it sounds like a waterfall and then I actually see the waterfall, appearing out of nothing, out of a circle under the sun, and as the water splashes down it tears some of the puzzle pieces apart. I look up at the origin of the water, the circle, which is framed in gold and has letters on it that I can't read (and no, it'S not "ash nazg durbatuluk..."). And within the circle I can see a landscape - a meadow, a forests, and black mountains capped with ice in the background. And a river in the middle that meanders to the rim of the circle and then falls down to the ground. And I hear the singing again over the roaring of the water, though I can't understand the words, and I just stand there, amazed and filled with awe and somehow flooded with joy.
And then I awake. :(

It starts to puzzle (oh, wait, that's money for the Wortspielkasse *g*) and even scare me since I can't remember that I ever dreamt the same thing repeatedly (actually, I'm curious whether the second, the mirror version, is going to come back again too) and I get the feeling it does mean something (wait, I always think things do mean someting). Just what?

I tried to draw it, them, the two versions, last year, but it's only the final picture, and without the singing and the wind and the waterfall, andthe feelings. But it's still an interesting picture, though it lacks the solemnity of the dream.

Well, on more exam to go, the most scary one, the reading and answering questions one, but it'S the last, afterwards I'll just have to write a term paper on Hamlet and then - FREEEEDOM! :)
