I do hate political debates... although I laugh at political cabarets (and looking at what's going on in the world nowadays... isn't it all just a cabaret?!). Anyway, on my way back from judo practice I heard a rather funny - and true - remark on the radio:
"Isolation depends on one's point of view. Even if not merely small countries like Germany, and France, and Russia, and China - those small countries - stood against a war against Iraq, but the whole world did - then still the whole world would be isolated..."

And the sad thing about it is that it's true...
