Why the heck...

... do [parents] mothers tend to be really, really annoying when you are about to leave there household? First she was sort of clinging, telling me how I'm always welcome and how she hopes I'll visit them often; now tonight she's bitching around how she's going to move away soon, she doesn't need such a big house anyway, we don't help her at all. WTF? What did I do now?

Have heard from several others there mothers/parents are/were just the same. So I guess it's some stone age genetic thing.

In other news, my former-trainer-would-be-lover is sort of returning. Locally. New job; he's moving back to Remscheid. I don't yet know whether to be happy or sad or nervous or whatever. I also don't yet know whether his girlfriend will come along or stay in Darmstadt.
I suppose it's another reason to be happy that I'll be living in Cologne. It's only 48 kilometres, but even they may help reduce the temptation.
