Random Ranting VI
Nov. 8th, 2003 04:23 pmI went to Karstadt today to buy the Matrix: Revolutions soundtrack. They didn't have it, so I bought the Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi DVD instead. Then I drove to Saturn and bought the M:R soundtrack anyway.
There was quite a queue at Karstadt in the books aisle. In the children's fantasy books aisle, I should add.
I suppose it's too late for a "Still not King" t-shirt? Might as well make one with the "Still not" crossed out and "Finally" written above, huh? [I hope THAT doesn't spoil anyone?]
Giving money to me at this time of year is really dangerous.
At least I already know what to give to my parents and my brother for Christmas. I also know a lot of things I want to be given for Christmas. Maybe I should start making a list; once my brother's birthday has come, everyone wants to know about what I want to get.
You know it's ending when you wonder where you would use ageru, kureru and morau in the sentence above. Argh!
I finally managed to check whether there will be any medieval Christmas markets around. Actually, there's one in Cologne and one in Remscheid. The latter one is smaller, of course; however, the entrance is free and Schelmish is going to play there on several days, so hey.
I decided to just unconditionally love Matrix: Revolutions without trying to convince anyone who doesn't. I'm not going to discuss it anymore (yeah right). Just like that. Because then, even though I still think it's good, will begin to dwell on its faults, and then the wonderful "I liked the ending of a trilogy" feeling will leave me, and I don't want that.
My parents are back from Saxony. They enjoyed it, it seems. They even went to see Pirates of the Caribbean one night, and even my mother liked it. Woot.
I foresee a very busy time next weekend. Non-stop panels and stuff, pretty much. Yay.
It even looks as though my dress were finally on its way. Yay again.
Right now it's sunny, and I hope it stays this way at least until tomorrow. It's nice of the lunar eclipse to begin at a time where I'm still awake anyway, and if some cloud is going to prevent me from seeing it, I'll be very angry.
About as angry as I was on Thursday. If you don't like the film, fine. If you're ill, fine. If you really just want to check whether the film is as bad as everyone says, fine. But if you sit in the same cinema as I do and cough and giggle and talk all the time, very definitely NOT fine. It's not the brutal movies that make people turn violent. It's the idiots being noisy during the movies who do. Trust me on that.
Kendô yesterday was fun. It was sort of depressing, however, that some had already bought a hakama and keikogi while we were still there in our ordinary stuff. Ngah.
But Hana seems to be willing to order stuff for us in Korea, where it's so much cheaper.
Next Friday, I won't be able to go to practice again, because, apparently, I'm going to be in Bonn. Wednesday, perhaps. Probably.
I finally finished tidying up. Just have to vacuum clean it. And then, hopefully, it can stay this way.
