The search for the damn money order is over. Of course, it was in the last place where I looked (well, obviously, why should I have searched on afterwards), and this was the place where any reasonable , clear-thinking person would have put it: The university record book. Seeing as I am neither reasonable nor clear-minded, I didn't expect that back in August or whenever, I was actually smart enough to put it there. But apparently I had, for there it was. Phew.
But instead of looking there in the first place, I had to look in all the chaotic drawers and boxes before I finally had that great idea. Gah.

In other news, watched Underworld yesterday. Hm. Gotta admit that so far this year, the critically acclaimed Lost in Translation was the only film I paid to see that really sorta disappointed me. I mean, not that Underworld was a great movie: but it was good entertainment, and there wasn't even any clear-cut good/evil (except maybe Erica and Victor), as would have been the easiest way. And it's damn stylish.
And goodness, I just have to see the "Cold Mountain" posters to want to throw up. "Love was their Hope, but History was their Fate"? Who on Earth is allowed to come up with so cheesy a line? Now I am severely prejudiced against that film. I don't think I want to see it.

And seefuchs got me hooked on Sandman. Thanks, too. As if I didn't have enough obsessions as it is...
