oloriel: (unhappy)
Gah. The presentation on Michel Foucault wasn't that bad, except that it really sucked beside the presentation my co-presentator had prepared. Yes, our prof had said that it didn't matter whether one did more, as long as everyone did something, but still...
At least he was happy that I mentioned that Foucault was gay. He said usually people tend to discreetly overlook that.

The presentation for Cultural Anthropology I have to do next week will be a desaster. The text I have to talk about is part of a longer text on the pros and cons of Structural Functionalism, and yesterday someone else was supposed to talk about the rest of the text, minus the two examples the author had given - because one of the examples had already been talked about, and the other one is my topic.
Apparently, she didn't get that. Her presentation was really good, and her repeating the !Kung example wasn't so bad, because it had been there already; but then she started on my example ("Ritual Networks in a Javan Village"). I mustered the courage to stop her and ask whether she was going to do this example extensively, because I would have to talk about it next week. She stopped at that (luckily, she had already talked for half an hour, so I didn't blow up her whole presentation), and we discussed about the rest. But man. At least our professor could have said something when she came to him to check whether she had the topic right. *grumble* Now I'm the bad one and have to do really well to measure up to her, and we both will write term papers on that stuff, and in comparison, I'll probably pale very much. *sigh*
Damnit.
