Speaking about Japan, turns out my brother gave my mom Lost in Translation for her birthday. Which is funny because she didn't like it much when she saw it at the cinema. Kind of reminds me when my brother gave my dad the Indiana Jones trilogy for his birthday, some years back. Except that my father likes the Indiana Jones movies, except for Temple of Doom. My brother is very good at giving presents to family that he actually just wants himself.

Wo wir gerade bei Japan sind, ich habe heute herausgefunden, dass mein Bruder meiner Ma Lost in Translation zum Geburtstag geschenkt hat. Lustig, weil ihr der Film schon im Kino nicht besonders gefallen hat. Fast wie damals, als mein Bruder meinem Vater die Indiana Jones-Trilogie zum Geburtstag geschenkt hat. Nur dass mein Vater Indiana Jones mag, vom Tempel des Todes mal abgesehen. Jedenfalls ist mein Bruder gut darin, seiner Familie Geschenke zum machen, die er eigentlich selber haben will.
