Schröder and the Eastern federal states offering help to the flooded Bavarians, one week after Bavarian premier Stoiber said how the people from the Eastern federal states were [paraphrased] frustrated and listless and had to be led by the more dynamic, more intelligent Southern federal states (i.e., Bavaria)? MADE ME GLEE.
[At that point, I probably should not mention that stupid old Germany, with a relatively small army and relatively powerless emergency laws, managed to get the whole army and the necessary helpers into the regions of crisis within TWO DAYS? And evacuate the population where necessary? And all that? I will admit that the problems were slightly smaller than those the US is facing right now, and I am NOT saying that I don't feel pity for the people whose lives have been touched, destroyed or whatever by the hurricane. But evacuating people into a football stadium instead of in SAFE REGIONS? Taking a week to get the emergency help into the regions of crisis? Having lots of people totally unprepared for no apparent reason, although everyone knew it was coming? I DON'T UNDERSTAND. Not in a country as rich as the USA, with such strict emergency laws, with a president with such extensive powers, with that good a network of informations.
Also, please stop buying all the petrol. 1,50 € per fucking litre = NOT FUNNY IN THE LEASTEST.]
Anyway, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Venezuela and Cuba offering help to the USA, because obviously they don't manage on their own? I am terribly sorry, but GLEE. It's like The Day After Tomorrow come true all of a sudden on a slightly smaller scale.
This is not against Americans, dear Americans. I am terribly sorry if you understand it like that. It's just against your government. [And, possibly, because I am JUST annoyed by the news showing all these poooor people, like that diabetic who was found after two days without medication. IF YOU'RE DIABETIC AND ARE WARNED ABOUT A HURRICANE COMING, FUCKING MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH MEDICATION TO LAST AT LEAST A WEEK. If you deem yourself immortal, you deserve the wave.]
