Encounters
Sep. 3rd, 2005 11:22 pmI re-read Blick aus Mandelaugen ("View from Slanted Eyes", a book about the Germans and Germany and Japan and the Japanese from the view of a young Japanese woman, hilarious, snarky and, at times, touching). And what do I find between the pages 76 and 77?
A single hair, about 12 cm long, blue (turning purplish at the tip).
...
seefuchs?
On my way back home from the train station, I saw Mrs Loosen, who was my German teacher in grade 11, 12 and 13. Imagine a 1,50m small version of Professor McGonagall with shortish grey hair, and you know what she's like. She was angry at me because, as she said, "I knew everything and never said it in class", and attested me "intellectual arrogance", which was supposed to be a compliment.
But she didn't notice me.
There's someone named Remus in
shiverdl's new house, and someone named Lupinski. So not laughing here.
Hey, *waves*,
ladymiriamel, that was you today, wasn't it? Nice to meet you!
I did mention that the fact that
seefuchs used Neville Longbottom as the director of Hogwarts in her RPG makes me SQUEE with joy? My only own HP fanfic that I ever thought about had Neville as the DADA teacher. No, that would not have been a frail attempt at Neville/Maglor. Shut up.
... did anyone ever notice that 'Tom Marvolo Riddle' is also an anagram for 'Immortal Odd Lover'? No? Dang. Must be the wine, then.
