And another sweet moment was when she explained that there can't be any presentations on November 15th because we'll have a guest lecturer from Gent. "Because Dr Niehaus, or Prof. Dr Niehaus, I should say, is visiting us then." *beams* Silence. Then, excited murmurs. Finally, someone dares to ask, "... our Dr Niehaus?"
Turns out he is. Yay!

All this happened during the preliminary discussion of the schedule for the advanced seminar on The Demonical in Japanese Culture. Yes, I'm sitting in an advanced seminar! Because lo and behold, by strange fate and ill good chance I got 44,6 points in the re-examination - which is lousy, and Watabe-sensei was obviously disappointed. But you'll remember that I needed 42 points to pass, so YES, I got away with my procrastination again. Lots of new noble resolutions, etc, etc. Thanks to all who wished me luck; it worked!
