Without spoiling: In which book does that occur? Am halfway into "The Golden Compass". Er, I think she's gone to that lady because she can't stay at Oxford anymore. (? At least that's where I think I am.)

Well, there's been rumours about a movie for five years now, and nothing's happened. So I'm not too scared. (Well, also I hope that the movies might actually be good...)
