Soooo.
For some reason, March seems to spawn all kinds of creative things. (Must be spring fever.)
At first I thought I'd steer around the Back To Middle-earth Month seeing how LoCreMo should keep me occupied already, but then I thought, what the heck. My LoCreMo projects deal with Tolkien anyway (with the Silmarillion, not the LotR, but hey), so I figured I could as well combine those two.
Sooo, firstly,

"March 2006: Back to Middle-Earth Month
Miss the golden days of the Lord of the Rings fandom? Get homesick for Middle-Earth?
Then this is for you!
You don't need to sign up anywhere to participate. But if you see this on your friends-page and like the idea, please post this text to your LJ to spread the word.
How to participate:
1. Pick a day of the week (or more than one) on which you resolve to always post something LotR-related in March, and let your friends-list know.
2. Go back and read your favourite chapters from the book, or watch the movies again. Let the beauty of LotR inspire you. And then, share the love.
3. Start your subject line with (B2MEM) when you post, and use a "b2mem" tag. This'll make it easy to spot your B2MEM-entries.
No matter if you just ramble about your undying love for LotR, picspam us, post wallpapers, icons, or write fan fic / create fan art, the plan is to get as many LotR-related entries on our friends-pages as possible throughout March.
Sounds good? We've been there, let's go back again!"
Aaaand the plan for LoCreMo, while I'm at it.
1. Produce at least two drawings/paintings per week to the prompts of
fanart100. I'm too chicken to join the community, but I'll use their prompts anyway. For the (Extended) House of Finwë. [I'm going with Extended because that gives me a much wider snatch of characters to work with - after all, pretty much anyone can somehow be linked to the House of Finwë. Har har.]
2. Work on my endless Silmarillion project. As in, get one chapter per week done. I've just begun Of the Sindar, so I should be finishing Of the Return of the Noldor by the end of the month.
[... well, this might count for B2MEM, seeing how the chapters coming up are Middle-earth chapters (... except for the Narsilion, obviously)...]
3. Finally, finally, finally type the last six days of the travel diary of d00m. I began last March (...) and didn't work on it since September (!!!), so it's time to finish that before I forget about it completely.
Stuff will be posted in
livingshapes, I suppose, in case anyone wants to check whether I'm being good and sticking to the plan.
Oh, and I have to write a Japanese term paper till March 8th. Yay. That, however, won't be posted online.
And that, as they say, is that.
