Whoever thought building lecture halls without windows ("distracting") or air-conditioning ("superfluous considering the Colognian climate") was a good, nay, trendsetting idea ought to be trussed up in some fur coats and left in one of those lecture halls for twenty-four hours on one of these lovely 35°C days. ARGH.

Because if the lecture hall is so hot and devoid of oxygen at 9 am already that you can't stand to stay there without the door open - for as long as the lecturer will permit, because of course the hallways are noisy - something is definitely wrong.
