I love the pictures. Those two are among the most beautiful cats I have ever seen. I want to touch that glossy fur!!!

I'm biased, of course, but I absolutely agree with the beautiful part!

We'll manage to have that visit eventually, and then you can cuddle with them all the time! Luckily, they like cuddling.

Most cats do. Spoiled creatures that they are...

... my spoiled black monster keeps tugging my sleeves in order to tell me that I have to serve dinner NOW or he will surely starve on the spot.

Hi! I saw you friended me and returned the favour, as we seem to have a few things in common. One question... Solingen? That sounds familiar... either I used to go on holiday there, or to school, or my grandparents lived there. Remind me where it is? *g*

It's about 50km to the north-east of Cologne. But perhaps you just know it because of the knives? Solingen is mostly famous for making blades...

Nope, I don't have any knives. Well actually I do, I have a Sting sword, but that doesn't come from Solingen *g* Is it somewhat near Rüthen by any chance? Around the place they have the Montgolfiade every now and again?

No normal kitchen knives? Awww.

Anyway, that would depend on your definition of "near". Rüthen's about two and a half hours from Solingen if you go by car...

Well I do have normal knives *g* I thought like show-knives... pretty ornamental ones.

And hmm.. two and a half hours is not close. I wonder why it sounds so familiar then.

Well anyway, it's cool to have a person from NRW in my friends list who also likes Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings! My girlfriend and I still come to Cologne whenever I have time to visit my parents - I moved to England last year to study, but my roots are still there :) Any LotR related things going on in that area next year?

Well, depending on your route, you might pass Solingen when going to Rüthen. Are you going via Cologne then? Because that would work - take the A3 until Hilden, then the A46, then the A43, that'd take you past the intersections Solingen AND Solingen-Ohligs. Perhaps that's it? Or did you ever visit Schloss Burg? That belongs to Solingen...

Hm. LotR directly, not necessarily, except probably for a few forum meet-ups or so, and perhaps the Tolkien Day if it's held in Cologne again. There's the FeenCon in Bonn in spring, but that's more fantasy in general. Wait - the Ring*Con might return to Bonn next year (the FedCon did, and they're done by the same organisation). But that'll be in late fall. (This year's Ring*Con is held the next weekend, but it's in Fulda). If Siegen still counts as "that area", there'll be a Fëanorian Fire Festival in early May. Um. Yes, that's it, off the top of my head...

Yes, that's probably how I recognize it - from visiting my grandparents when they were still alive. Odd, I thought I knew it more than that... have been to Schloss Burg though. *nod*

Ohh, many con-type things! I have to make it to at least one next year. I've never ever been and feel really left out *g*
