Word of the Day:
"bouquet of bombs"
(Seen on the sets of fireworks you can buy these days and only these days)
I was bad yesterday.
See, across from the post office, there's this jeweller's store. Now I'm generally not all that interested in jeweller's stores and don't do a lot of window-shopping there; most of the stuff you usually see isn't my style anyway, or if it is, it's unaffordable, and at any rate, if my fandom taught me one thing, it's stay the hell away from jewellery.
But.
They were having a closing-down sale. So I thought what the hell, having a look doesn't hurt.
And they actually had a lot of pretty stuff. Amber, Bohemian stuff, art nouveau necklaces and brooches...
And then there was this eight-spiked star pendant.
In gold.
With dark red stones.
That I couldn't resist.
>_>
So I now own an eight-spiked star, golden with red stones. It's not quite Fëanorian, but it's close enough.
And pretty.
ETA: There, that's a piccie for
laurenia. Though you can't really see the colours there. The stones are of a dark brownish red. Garnets. I think this is the first piece of "good" jewellery I ever bought myself. (By "good", I mean "for celebratory, normal-life occasions". Qualitywise, my One Ring is quite "good".)
Last but not least: Thank you for your lovely cards,
vashachu and
dawn_felagund!
