So, decided to exchange the "dead winter" icon for one that's more fitting for this year's pre-spring thing. It's sad because it's true.

In other, slightly cryptic news, I am fond of academia in general, but people that never left their ivory tower in their entire life scare me. And here I thought I was out of touch with reality.

Oh, I agree about the ivory tower. It's the reason why I knew after my first degree that I had to leave Cambridge, even if I would happily have stayed there forever - you fall into this weird little shimmery-world where reality doesn't really exist and you just have no concept of how the world actually is.

Cambridge being so small, insular and stuck in the 18th century doesn't help any!

London is a big change, but I don't for a moment regret it.

ROFL! Yes, it's a weird winter, that's for sure. I just hope we'll get a really nice summer to make up for it! :-)
