WTF of the year, 3
Feb. 17th, 2007 12:21 amThere's a dried gentian inside my copy of Morgoth's Ring.
I have no idea where it came from. I've owned the book since June 2006. Last time I was anywhere that might have had gentian at a season that might have had gentian was August 2004. And I wouldn't have plucked any gentian anyway seeing how it's an endangered plant.
I have, in other words, no explanation for this. Unless my books go on vacations without me.
I profess to be astonyed, as Chaucer would say.

Date: 2007-02-17 10:49 am (UTC)Up to something, ok. But running around stealing flowers? I mean, I'm not surprised to find flowers in my Silm as I do indeed use it to press flowers I find pretty when I'm on vacation (and the Silm ends up keeping them because it's the one book I always take with me on vacations >_>), but Morgoth's Ring has never even left my living-room!
